When asking Alexa to read a Kindle book, the book will be read from the last location that was either read aloud using Alexa, or that was viewed when reading the book online or through the Kindle app.

While the book is being read, you can skip to the next or previous paragraph by swiping right or left.  To make larger changes to the playback position, here's what you can do:

  1. In a web browser, log into read.amazon.com.
  2. Open the book you are interested in.
  3. Navigate to the point you want reading to start.
  4. Click on the sync button at the top of the screen and choose the option to make this the furthest read location.
